Reflections on a Challenging JEE Aftermath: My AITS JEE Mains Part Test-2 Scores and Humbling Journey
After two years of intense preparation and dedication, my academic journey has thrown up some unexpected results that have left me questioning my capabilities. While the journey has been grueling and the scores have been challenging, I believe that every experience, whether good or bad, is a lesson in itself.
My Journey with FIITJEE AITS:From Humbling Start to Disappointment
I have been with FIITJEE for the last two years, where I have put in long hours of preparation for the JEE Advanced. My experience has been a rollercoaster ride, with moments of triumph and despair.
In my first AITS-II in 2020, I scored only 26 marks out of 300, which was a striking reminder of the challenges ahead. Despite the initial difficult start, my determination only grew stronger, and I committed to giving my best each time I took a test.
Journey in Numbers
The scores in various subjects after two years:
Mains: 146/300
Physics: Moderate level - 58/100
Chemistry: Moderate level - 54/100
Maths: Advanced level - 34/100
Advanced: 107/366
Paper 1: QUITE messed up. Only 49/183
Paper 2: Things got worse. Easy paper but 58/183
My Humbling Realization
Despite my relentless efforts, the scores from the AITS-II 2020 were a stark reminder that I needed to re-evaluate my approach. No amount of preparation seemed to match the intricate curriculum and high expectations set by the JEE.
My initial marks in AITS-I were 26, and after two years, I ended up with -5 marks in AITS-II. This negative change was a disheartening sight and a clear indication that something was not right in my study strategy. I realized that the environment at FIITJEE, though rigorous, was not the best fit for my learning style and pace.
The Turning Point: AITS JEE Mains Part Test-2
Recently, I took the JEE Mains Part Test-2, and the outcome was a surprising 63 marks. While this score should have been a testament to my progress, it only highlighted my despair. I am a slow learner, and even though I studied diligently, the challenges seemed insurmountable.
After this experience, the urge to throw away all my notes and books became overwhelming. The feeling of worthlessness set in, and it seemed like all my efforts in the past two years had been in vain.
Lessons Learned and Moving Forward
While the scores are undoubtedly disheartening, they do not define my worth or my journey. Instead, they serve as valuable lessons in perseverance and self-reflection. Here are a few insights I have gathered:
Reflection: Every test and result is a step forward in understanding one’s strengths and weaknesses. Using these insights, I can fine-tune my approach and make necessary adjustments.
Motivation: The desire to succeed must come from within. External validation can be fleeting, but the pursuit of self-motivation is enduring. I need to find intrinsic motivation to continue my preparation with renewed vigor.
Support System: Sometimes, even the best resources and environment are not enough to suit everyone. It is crucial to recognize when a change might be needed and seek support from different sources.
Concluding Thoughts
The road ahead is still long and challenging, but with the right mindset and approach, I believe I can overcome the hurdles. Instead of giving up, I am choosing to persevere and seek the best possible strategy to achieve my goals. The journey may be rough, but the lessons learned along the way will undoubtedly shape my future.
