After years of studying the Indian engineering education system, it has become clear to me that there is no demand for holders of either MCA or MTech degrees. The Indian engineering curriculum, which is 40 years old, fails to produce skilled and employable software engineers. Consequently, internationally renowned software engineering companies have no engineering offices in India.

An Indian youth would need approximately 7 years of computer programming practice with 3 years of English language communication practice to become an internationally employable software engineering professional, even without any school or college degree.

Indian Engineering Colleges and Student Life

Whether an Indian engineering student has ample time for co-curricular activities and personality development depends largely on the college. Fraudulent private engineering colleges, often labeled as IIITs, do not offer these facilities, leading to poor quality college lives for their students.
